We are thrilled that the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) approached our company for a comprehensive infographic report on the post-Brexit trade shifts with the EU. The infographic provides an in-depth analysis of the trade trends in goods and services between the UK and the EU, highlighting some significant changes in the first half of 2021. The UK’s share of imports and exports from the EU fell by 2%, with a quarter of the UK’s market share in EU imports lost in the first half of 2021. The infographic also identifies the UK’s top export sectors, including machinery, chemicals, vehicles, minerals, and precious stones, with machinery being the most exported sector. In addition, the infographic explores the changes in trade agreements that the UK has rolled out since exiting the EU, including gaining preferential access to new markets, lowering preferential access to existing ones, and losing preferences in others. Additionally, the report explored the significant changes in trade with new FTA partners Japan and Australia and the projected forecast for merchandise exports and imports for both goods and services. We are honoured that the ICC recognises our contribution to the global conversation on trade, and we invite you to read the full publication to learn more about the developments in international trade.
