What does this dashboard tell us?
- The dashboard gives an overview of the number of measures applied across the world and across time. It is clear that movement restrictions have been the most implemented measures across governments. Border closures and movement restrictions within borders have been prioritised to prevent the spread of the virus.
- Fiscal measures have been commonly deployed, though to varying degrees, mainly to provide economic support within the country.
- On the other hand, some countries have implemented trade measures aimed at stimulating or controlling export and import of goods. Tariff reductions on certain important equipments, export bans, and waiving off of excise duties, albeit temporarily, have been some of the most typical measures applied.
