About Marta
Marta is a trade policy advisor, researcher and project manager with over 12 years experience in the field of international trade, with a specialization in trade in services. Marta is the founder of TradePol Consulting, a consulting firm specialised in delivering technical assistance to International Organisations and Small and Medium Enterprises.

Marta has advised a number of international organizations (e.g. ITC, UNCTAD, UNESCAP, World Bank, WTO), regional institutional arrangements and national governments on matters related to the negotiation and implementation of multilateral and regional trade agreements; worked with trade institutions and associations to promote exports and investments; and supported private firms in their efforts to access and operate in foreign markets.

Marta has authored and co-authored a number of publications on trade in services, e-commerce, MSME-related policies in the GATS and air services liberalization, and has experience working across wide geographical contexts in economies in varied stages of economic development, including Lao PDR, Singapore, China, India, Vietnam, East Africa and Europe.

A graduate summa cum laude from the Master in International law and Economics from the World Trade Institute (WTI) of the University of Bern, Marta received her Master degree in internationalization of SMEs from the Italian Trade Agency in Italy. She was also educated at the University of Bologna, where she earned a degree in International Relations and Diplomatic studies.
