Project update – TradeCom II Programme to Support the RMCE in Mauritius

Our CEO at International Economics, Paul Baker and Associate, Andras Lakatos are working on the EU-funded, TradeCom II Programme to support the Regional Multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence (RMCE). Landel Mills is implementing the project. The RMCE, driven by the Government of Mauritius, is dedicated to building the capacity of African countries towards an Accelerated Programme for Economic Integration (APEI) for inclusive and continent-wide socio-economic development. It covers Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles and Zambia. The project is due to be completed in December 2019.

As part of our role in supporting the RMCE, our teamundertook two days of workshops with government and private sector representatives in Mauritius on 17-18 September 2019. The discussions focused on a business facilitation framework for fast-tracking reforms and fostering trade and investment amongst the five countries.
