Project update – Trade and Investment Advocacy Fund (TAF2+)

International Economics was awarded a new Trade and Investment Advocacy Fund (TAF2+) funded Project on providing Technical Assistance on World Trade Organisation (WTO) Issues for the Secretariat of the ACP Group of States (ACP Group) in Geneva. Implementing jointly with Summit Alliances International (SAI), the project has just started and will be in place until 2022.

Under this project our team will be supporting the ACP Group in the run-up to the MC12, set to take place in 2020, as well as prepare position papers on key issues being discussed at the WTO level. This will include the preparation of technical studies and briefing notes, the delivery of thematic seminars on key topics under negotiation, the development of a database, and capacity building support to the ACP Group Coordinator as required, to ensure the ongoing strengthening of the role of the Group.

We will be reinforcing and supporting the ACP Group in their engagement with other WTO members, and advance intra-ACP Group dialogue in order to strengthen common positions.
