For a third year running, Paul Baker, CEO and founder of International Economics, is a faculty member on the Master of Laws in International Economic Law and Policy (IELPO LL.M.) at the University of Barcelona in Spain. His course, entitled “Practical Tools for Policy Modelling and Legal Foundations to Negotiate Trade Agreements,” took place over two days this year, 7th-8th April 2016. Paul lectured alongside Dr David Luff, partner of the boutique international law firm, Appleton and Luff.
The course focused on analytical models to simulate the outcome of policies and trade agreements through legal and regulatory impact assessments. The topics covered the use of international trade databases, data analytics tools, and partial and general equilibrium models, among others.
Paul also is a visiting lecturer for master’s students at the Foreign Trade University and Vietnam National University.
