International Economics is supporting the Department of International Cooperation (DICO) of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) in fulfilling its role as Secretariat and National Implementation Unit (NIU) of the Cambodia Trade Integration Strategy Update (CTISU) 2013-2019, including the effective engagement of all relevant stakeholders and the monitoring of all implementation activities. Specific activities include mapping of development partners’ relevant activities and programmes in support of its implementation, mapping of relevant government action plans and private sector actors along with their CTISU-related activities, and development of a lean and user-friendly M&E tool to support DICO on monitoring and reporting of CTISU implementation.

This project aims to support greater connectivity and economic integration between Cambodia and the rest of ASEAN through trade facilitation and standards, institutional and human capacities development for the formulation and implementation of trade-related policies, enhancement of private sector engagement, notably SMEs, and better preparedness for the development of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) into a seamless, single economic space.
