International Economics (IEC) is contributing to Angola’s formulation of strategies and policy options to effectively design its market opening vis-à-vis the EU under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and identifying the areas of potential commercial benefits in terms of improving regulatory framework for trade and investment.

We will conduct a study, which will include economy-wide impact assessment of the SADC-EU EPA (using CGE modelling), possible impact on Angola’s services sectors,  assessment of additional disciplines on SPS and TBT to facilitate Angola’s market access, as well as improving investment in flows through closer cooperation on investment facilitation. Results of the study will be presented to the Ministry and relevant stakeholders in Angola in a workshop.
