International Economics (IEC) is conducting a study on the alignment of EPAs and customs unions, with a particular focus on the ECOWAS customs union and the EU interim EPAs with Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana. The study will take into consideration the EPA with Cameroon and CEMAC as well as the planned EPA with Kenya and EAC. The study will also consider lessons learned for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and its alignment and interaction with the RECs.
