Deep-sea mining: An untapped potential in Mauritius

As metals used to produce semiconductors, car batteries and solarpanels are becoming scarcer, the extraction of polymetallic nodules is an option for Mauritius to be looking into, especially as these mineral masses are found in substantial quantities in its seabeds. This could be an interesting economic opportunity but there are environmental risks to their extraction.
